First Draft of a preface

Be prepared with supplies to see you over the small stresses of  life.  Power being out for a few days or weeks should not be a highly stressful obstacle it you are prepared.. . . . .  Have supplies for several months or more.  Have the food that you use.  Rotate the food.

Don’t wait for a comprehensive plan, begin by getting a little extra each time you shop.  Just begin.  Finish your storage by checking your supplies against your storage plan.

Water storage is essential.

Prepare for the three serenoias of sheltering at home, evacuation in a car and evacuation on foot.

Prepare with supplies, tools, skills, and resourcefulness.  Dont forget skills and resourcefulness.

The disaster after the disaster are the disease that follows a disaster caused by unsanitary conditions.  Live with sanitation even in a disaster.  Bury waste.

Prepare yourself with the ideas that you can be happy with what you have. Electric power or no electrical power.  Make do with what you have.
