JANUARY 2019

We desire to follow the Prophet!

Our Church Leaders have asked us to make a concerted effort to obtain our year’s supply of food and other essentials.
Here are suggestions for a 52 week plan to help us all achieve this. Amounts given are for two people. Adjust the quantities you purchase for the number of family members in your home. The items will change weekly, so keep up with us and take the challenge to
"Become Prepared."

We know if we are prepared we shall not fear!

This is our plan to become Self-Reliant for 2019:

52 Weeks to get your home prepared for future uncertainties.

For some of us it will be a brand new start.  For others it will be more of a purge, store and organize as needed.  We did not create this but have borrowed it from off the internet (Rancho Ward, unknown stake).  We give credit to them. And thanks to Ann Frampton for sharing with us!

We did 72 hour bags (Go Bags) a few years ago.  If you haven't updated the food, you should do so now. Some people find Conference time works well to reward and replace snacks that are in your Go Bags.  The grandkids love it!

One thing that we love about this program is that it has a spiritual component for each week.

This is a BIG undertaking.  We understand money is always tight.  Can you find some bad habit that you want to quit and use that money for home preparedness?  And how about a little less time on social media and putting forth some sincere effort to get prepared by spending some time on it at least weekly?  Remember the list is for 2 people, so you will need to adjust it to fit your family!

Here's the link:
https://arapahoeprepfair.files.wordpress.com/2011/07/52-week-prepardness-list.pdf

You can print your own list (26 pages long) like we did, but at least spare a tree and print on both sides!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
1)  We are always willing to take your order and pick up your items that you want from the Home Storage Center in Magna. That will, most likely, be the cheapest way to go for those items.
     Be sure you are using the January 2019 list as prices do change at times.
I like this link because it tabulates your order and you can print it and give it to us with a check.  The check needs to be made out to me  (Mary Jean Harline) unless we go together so you can provide ID.
2)  We will look for and offer other items that we feel have universal appeal to as many as possible.
     We will get the word out through this website, ward newsletters and handouts.
     Dates for checks or Venmo to be turned in and dates for pick-ups will be determined in advance.
3)  We are always open to ideas and suggestions for new products to try.
